Kristen L. Burge / Attorney

Kristen L. Burge, Associate

Back to Attorney List

Kristen Burge is a civil litigator who has zealously represented individuals and businesses for over ten years. She brings the talent, discipline, and competitive spirit to outwork and out think her opposition, and does so with professionalism and integrity.  Legal writing is one of Kristen’s passions, which she puts to use in her advocacy for clients and in her regular contributions to the American Bar Association’s Publication, Litigation News. To Kristen, the best defense is a good offense. Putting this to practice, Kristen seizes every opportunity to win cases early, having successfully argued numerous dispositive motions throughout Louisiana, mediated cases to resolution, and negotiated settlements on her clients’ terms. But not every lawsuit will settle, and when that is the case, Kristen is prepared to take the battle to the courtroom.

Kristen brings to McCranie Sistrunk her unique knowledge in Intellectual Property and science, having obtained a masters from University of Washington School of Law. Her pre-med education and degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University give her the ability to speak the language of medical professionals.  Understanding the subject matter provides an advantage when defending physicians, evaluating injuries, and engaging with experts.

A longtime client of Kristen’s had this to say: “Kristen’s intelligence and skill in analyzing facts and applying them to applicable law are balanced by a high level of honesty and confidence. I recommend Kristen without reservation.” Kristen’s primary areas of practice include products liability, toxic tort, wrongful death, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, and copyright and trademark law.

In addition to Louisiana, Ms. Burge is also licensed to practice in Florida and Washington State.
