Dorothy L. Tarver / Advisory Member
Dorothy L. Tarver earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of New Orleans. Ms. Tarver graduated Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans in 2005 and received her Juris Doctorate in Civil Law and in International Law. She studied law abroad at Eotvos Lorand University School of Law in Budapest, Hungary; the University of Vienna Law School; Rome University of Law; and attended the Loyola University School of Law-European Union Law Studies program in Brussels, Strasbourg, and Luxembourg.
Ms. Tarver is an experienced trial attorney in both state and federal courts. Her areas of practice include insurance defense litigation, general business litigation, construction litigation, and employment law. In addition to Ms. Tarver’s general litigation and employment law experience, she is also knowledgeable in general admiralty and maritime law and has represented companies in the area of personal injury and insurance coverage.
She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and all Louisiana state courts.
